(Tax ID# 35-2135030).  IHR does not receive County, State or Government funding.
We care for horses in need, solely on donations from caring individuals, fundraising efforts, and adoption fees.
 
If you are interested donating items to help the horses, you can send them to our facility in Frankfort, IN.

Medical, Feed, Farrier, Dental and Electricity to keep the barn cool in the summer and water warm in the winter. 
We are 100% volunteer run organization, so your donations do everything to help the animals in our care.  Indiana Horse Rescue owns the property we are on, so we are responsible for all the upkeep.  We do no rent, lease or have property that we will have to move from.  We pay all our electric, telephone, internet, everything to keep the rescue running.  We have no paid employees so all donations DO go directly to caring and housing the equine!

We try to match you with the right horse!

Indiana Horse Rescue tries very hard to match you with the right horse for you!  Not just any horse, and not a horse that is no fun for your riding abilities.  When you adopt a horse, you still have 30 days to make sure that horse is the right one for you.  While we don’t refund your donation, we do give you 1 year to pick the right horse when it comes in.
